I haven't had so much fun in a long time. Kinda reminded of 2010 when I was playing mw2. Would like tho if the character had a bit more health. Because it feels like you die very easily. Played it for around an hour and loved it 😇
5*. It's like an FPS Hotline Miami. It's also been updated loads since I first played it on Windows - tried the Linux build last night and was impressed with how far it has come.
Hey, I've been just absolutely loving this game but today it stopped working, and any time I try to open it I just get this before it crashes. Ive tried troubleshooting it myself but to no avail, but I have meh technical prowess (none when it comes to unity) and was hoping for some help so i could be kicking doors and kicking ass again asap.
reinstall was my first idea, just tried the app but it just did the same thing must be something on my end blocking the game for some reason, maybe windows firewall. great game though hope to get it working again lol
I'm not gonna lie - when it comes to Ubuntu - you probably know more than me. I'll check with people who are better with this stuff than myself and get back to you.
Just finished playing this (link to first of three episodes below), and really enjoyed it! The art style is great, the pacing is perfect and the mechanics are smooth.
It's like an FPS Hotline Miami. It's also been updated loads since I first played it on Windows - tried the Linux build last night and was impressed with how far it has come. Thanks!
I bought a new PC last year (replacing my 2009 desktop) and switched from Windows to Linux Mint as my main OS. I dual boot with Win10 just for when I need a few pieces of software that don't run in Linux, but now always favour Linux versions. Anger Foot is the first graphically intensive game I've played on my new PC (3060 Ti) - up until now I have just been playing a UFO/X-COM TFTD mod, so it's good to give it a chance to run hotter! It's fun playing this new version, with different levels, baddies and unlockables from what I remember.
I start the game, and as soon as i try to hit the record button in obs, the game crashes. The very second i press the record button the game crashes. My system is OS windows, i5, 8gb ram, gtx 1650ti. I saw the trailer and i really wanted to play the game and share it with the indian gaming community. I'll be highly obliged if this problem is solved.
my GPU usage skyrocketed to 100% and temp was at like 80+C after 5 minutes of playing, what's up with that? Would definitely play this but I'm not risking damaging my hardware.
EDIT: even after turning graphics down GPU usage and temp is still way higher than it should be :/
After a bit of scrolling it doesn't look like anyone else has this problem and idk what other info I can give, the problem is basically exactly as described. I hope bringing attention to it at least will go somewhere cuz the game looks epic and I'd like to play it, just... maybe without my PC opening the gates to hell
this game is amazing, got multiple people in our discord to grab it and everyone is having a blast streaming for each other and laughing our asses off at the insanity. great work!
on Linux you need to escape spaces in filenames. try "chmod 777 Anger\ Foot.x86_64". or you can just put quotes around the filename, that should also work.
I found a bug where you can play the game without the music (Macbook Pro Mid 2015, Mac Os X 10.15.7): 1. start the game on an external display (with audio going out through HDMI), unplug the display (video and game switches to internal display), then plug another external display in, that's all. Audio is still there, like steps and kicks and shouts, but music is gone. Really, really odd.
I found this out while trying to limit the fps to 60 as my Macbook isn't that powerful, even with 2GB VRAM and 16GB RAM. But although my display settings for the 2nd external display where set to 60Hz, the game set itself to 120Hz when I started it on that 2nd display. So I tried to start the game on the 1st display that is limited to 60Hz, then unplug the 1st one, plug in the 2nd one and lo and behold, I could now play the game on the 2nd display at 60 fps … but with no sound. Too bad, as otherwise, it's quite responsive and playable, even at medium settings on an old Macbook.
I also just noted that if you turn "mirrored" on and do the display switching, the music is still there. Nonetheless, I would like to have a "frame cap" for older computers where I can limit things to 60 or even 30 fps.
And … during video editing for my youtube channel I noticed that vsync seems to be off - even at 120 fps I had a "split screen" sometimes. So it would be nice to "force vsync".

Amazing game, only thing I feel like is needed is more health. But overall very cool.
Thanks for the suggestion
An amazing really liked first time I have fun while playing in some difficulty it is an overall 10/10
Wow! 10/10! Thank you :)

An hour well spent! Thanks for the feedback.
Fast paced and difficult. I love it. 5/5
Sounds like you're describing my last relationship. Thanks for the feedback :)
bro i love this game but its kinda hard even from first level
Thanks! How's the difficulty feeling after a couple more plays?
still hard

Nice to see it working on both platforms! Thanks for the feedback
Amazing game guys, its simple, fun and in harmony in all aspects, how much did the development process took. Did you work on it full time?
The game was initially made on a farm as a 7DFPS entry by Robbie Fraser, Luc Wolthers, Jem Smith, and Jason Sutherland of FREE LIVES.

That's bizarre. I suppose the logical suggestion would be to try a reinstall and or try using the itch app : https://itch.io/app

I've began running into the same issue.
Thanks for letting us know!
How to run this game on ubuntu 20.4 LTS ? (I am green, don't blame on me :D)
I'm not gonna lie - when it comes to Ubuntu - you probably know more than me. I'll check with people who are better with this stuff than myself and get back to you.
Does the main character represent of my leg man comic? lol
Do you do your own voices? I really felt the emotion.
Yeah I do my own voice acting and sometimes I play in video games or animation cartoons.
Keep it up - there's nothing better than making stuff!
Come check out another awesome Anger Foot Dev stream (Wednesday, 06 April 2022) at 15:00 SAST

Lols are good :)
If you have not played this game yet, YOU'RE MISSING OUT! 10/10 would take a foot to the face for a part 2 of the game.
P.S. My guy in the shower just in his feelings and the other having a blast was wayyyyy out of left field but hilarious!
Thanks for another awesome upload - dig the lighting and quality of your video - you defs deserve more subs.
The game is amazing, was so fun for me
Awesome! Thanks for playing

You're the first Linux AND Windows user I've come across. Thanks for the positive feedback (on both platforms)

We've seen that issue with OBS come up in the past. Thanks for letting us know.

Can you give us more information about your setup? Thanks
GTX 1660 ti 6GB VRAM, Intel i5 10400F, 16GB RAM
After a bit of scrolling it doesn't look like anyone else has this problem and idk what other info I can give, the problem is basically exactly as described. I hope bringing attention to it at least will go somewhere cuz the game looks epic and I'd like to play it, just... maybe without my PC opening the gates to hell
I had this issue too,
AMD Radeon R9 290x 4GB VRAM, AMD Ryzen 7 2700x 8 core 3.7ghz, 16 GB RAM
Not the most up to date specs, but should run this no problem
80 degrees wont damage anything lmao. Even lower end GPUs are built to withstand up to 90-95 degrees ish.
Great game but I'm sorry I couldn't pay for it
bruh, it's literally free.
unless you want to donate it to support the developer though...
by paying I meant the donation
it does not work on linux (manjaro KDE) :<
The Linux version is untested at this point - thanks for letting us know!
when i try to play a level it crashes
Can you tell us a little bit more about the system that you're playing on? Thanks
when you be drunk gun is go.
Probably for the best.....
No new updates? :(
Nothing official to report yet - but if you'd like to see the progress thus far, check out one of the dev streams or highlight videos :)
Thanks for this game dude enjoyed it
Looks like you had fun playing. Gave your video a like on Youtube - thank you for the upload.
how do u turn down graphics???
In game hit ESC - those are the only settings for now. The full game will have more options.
how do i turn down the graphics cause i have a bad pc and when i try to turn it down the whole screen goes black and restarts the pause screen
In game if you hit ESC is the only place to change things at the moment. Can you give us more info on what system you're using?
pretty old system 4gb ram and a 2011 sandy bridge i5

Are you on a phone
Pew pew
Big time!
Amazing
Yes you are.
Anger Foot Dev stream live RIGHT NOW (15:30 SAST) : https://www.twitch.tv/free_lives (23 March 2022)
where can i get the soundtrack?
Only in game right now - but there might be an EP release or something similar when the full game is out.
you should give like a special prize if you 100% the game or something
Thanks for the suggestion - what do you think would be a cool prize?
A brand new pair of shoes of course!
No idea why part 2 took me almost 2 months to make but....well I finally released me having "fun" with this game again:
We appreciate the continued support via the uploads. Good luck with part 3 ;) I gave your video a thumbs up on YouTube
this game is amazing, got multiple people in our discord to grab it and everyone is having a blast streaming for each other and laughing our asses off at the insanity. great work!
Love that you're sharing it. Glad everyone's having a good time playing. Thank you!
This game is pretty damn amazing, the music's great, the gameplay's fun, the visuals are beautifully grungy, frankly I could go on.
Also, was that a hotline Miami reference at the end?
Thanks! Beautifully grungy is a great description
Really fun game!
I haven't played such a good game lately, it just keeps you going and it's really adicting.
Good work!
Really fun comment - thank you for the positive feedback
Can someone please help me run this on linux? The terminal will not run Anger Foot.x86_64 and tries to run the words as their own files.
'~/angerfoot$ chmod 777 Anger Foot.x86_64
chmod: cannot access 'Anger': No such file or directory
chmod: cannot access 'Foot.x86_64': No such file or directory'
on Linux you need to escape spaces in filenames. try "chmod 777 Anger\ Foot.x86_64". or you can just put quotes around the filename, that should also work.
Thanks for that! I love it when our Linux users help each other out ;)
